Best interdisciplinary Master Thesis |
Different ETH departments are awarding outstanding master theses. Micro and Nanotechnologies are at the interdisciplinary cross section of sciences and are therefore hardly covered by the traditional structure of ETH. This award has therefore been launched to encourage students to write a master thesis at the cross-section of different domains. We are convinced that the importance of interdisciplinary research will increase even more in the future. A master thesis can be a first step in the right direction. If you are a student on the master level, talk to your professor about suitable projects! |
Selection criteria
Potential candidates for the "Best interdisciplinary master thesis" award must complete or have already completed their masters degree at ETH Zurich. The master thesis must be interdisciplinary, the research should be suitable for publication, and related to micro- or nanosciences.
The master thesis must have been accepted by an ETH advisor after 01 November 2010 and prior to 30 October 2011.
Besides the quality of the work, the interdisciplinarity, and the originality are evaluated.
